Matchbox Tiger Moth

Recommended Posts

Nicest Tiger Moth I've ever seen.... it looks splendid in that scheme.

Did you do a WiP for this? Or at least any pointers to issues you encountered and enhancements you've made..?

No more wax needed!

Stunning finish, excellent!

Cheers,

I did do a WiP but had to delete the photos to free up Flickr space :(

That's a shame...  Is the WiP here? Any stand out problems or snags during the build?  I have one, original release £3 at Tesco from way back...  I recall there was a magazine advert that featured the Tiger Moth being built by a 'famous' modeller... Can't recall who anymore.

No major issues; the wing dihedral is the same top/bottom in the kit and should be steeper on the bottom wing. It's typical Matchbox, so lots of clunkiness. I'll post a few images now that I've freed some space. I will need to delete them in a few weeks however.
