exdraken
Strange times... but for Boing it was already before Corona... Maybe better for Embraer, but bad for the current government.... That also explains the resctions a bit!
NoSG0
Some of the latest starts with post 793. https://www.airliners.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1381717&start=750 If you have the time to read a lot of back and forth. This may cost 100 mill? Cuts 787/777 production and workforce https://www.airliners.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1445395&sid=ceb55a769f769a285bd99bc8aec2b9a8 Edited April 30, 2020 by NoSG0
oggy4624
The USAF are refusing to hand over nearly $900 million on the KC46 program which has currently a $4.6 BILLION overrun. With the max problems as well as the 787 and Apache problems, Boeing does not need another $100 million bleed now. Think back to when Boeing spat out the dummy after losing to the KC30. you can bet that they never considered that winning would cost them 4.6 Billion 2

NoSG0
I stand corrected. BA did not take bailout. Seems they changed their minds. https://www.seattletimes.com/business/boeing-aerospace/boeing-raises-25-billion-in-massive-bond-sale-turns-down-bailout-funds/ "Turning down the funds means the company will not have to give the government an ownership stake, a requirement that executives had said they wouldn’t accept."
