bobster
I have applied a coat of Humbrol Gloss clear and applied the kit decals except the roundels, which I have replaced with Hannants roundels, as the kit decals were printed off-centre and the red's were very bright. I trimmed around the code letters to get rid of the clear carrier film between the letters, as I was not sure if it would silver too much. I might try a panel wash before applying a matt coat, I'll see.

Dansk
This looks so beautifully done. Amazing how that old kit can scrub up so well
bobster
After doing various bits and bobs today, this one is now finished! I have used Tamiya Matt clear, which *almost* melted the Hannants Roundels, but the trusty old Matchbox decals were fine. Overall a really nice fun build and a nice GB, thanks for organizing this one chaps! Edited August 16, 2020 by bobster
modelling minion
Well you sneaked that one in just under the wire didn't you! And I'm really glad that you did, what a fantastic result. A really smart scheme carried out to perfection. Very well done.
Ventora3300
Lovely finish, Bobster. A very clean and precise result (I love Matchbox). Saw it in the Gallery at midnight!
stever219
Factory fresh and ready for first operational sortie (or an AOC's inspection). Clean and simple and redolent of happier simpler modelling times.
