Here is my latest in progress of the Fujimi Hawkeye. It’s mostly out of the box. It’s waiting for Some decals.

I really like what you have done so far, it looks very good. I started one of these a few years ago, perhaps longer and I put it aside because of the problems I had with the fit of the canopy around the cockpit.

Looks good so far.  How have you found the building of the kit?  Did it go together well?

 

I have a Fujimi E-2C and the tooling looks less sophisticated than later Fujimi kits.  The props in particular are obviously compromised by the mould design.

Jackson: this is not the initial model, but with the updated landinggear and propellars. The kit is a nice kit but lacks some detail and If i could chose again I would build the Hasegawa version. The building is quite straight forward and without any problems. But keep in mind its not as good as the skyhawks or later phantoms from Fujimi.

Bas, how did the Fujimi kit go together? I have one in the cupboard awaiting a slot in the production line. I'm going to try and fit the Wolfpack Resin folding wings for the Hasegawa kit to it.
