PhantomLover
Very nice Mirage! I love the metal finish and weathering. Currently I am building a 1/48 Italeri/Esci Mirage 3E and want to finish it in natural metal as well, so if you have any tips... Kind regards, Gerben

Kind regards, Gerben Get the primer coat very smooth, then any dark shade also very smooth. I used three metal shades, including one self mixed. All the smaller panels are hand-painted. the rear afterburner section is painted with tamiya smoke to simulate heat burns from within. Used another gloss coat to pop the contrast and details like rivets and panel lines. Not too difficult but careful time consuming work. A week of evenings.
