Can't really see much through the turret hatches.. .but have commander & gunner screens, radio and turret turning mechanism (start). I don't know if I will do the turret basket & seats - it seems that the hole in the hull top is small, seats wouldn't line up with the screens/hatches...

OK, you can't see ANY of this but I want to do something. So turret basket is started. Seats are 100% in the wrong place but I think thats kit design not anything else. I plan to do a floor plate (and a ring on the floor of the hull). Basket will have some level of stowage. Need more "clutter" in the turret too, not sure what else would be in there (ammo racks but not sure what they would look like for this type of armamenet)

Thinking ahead, this is the sort of thing I want to do for the slatted armour. Not sure if I will do front as well, turret with rocket pods doesn't lend itself to it...

As I close on the end of the interior build, just the 2 seats for commander/gunner to add and some straps on the spent ammo box on the turret basket floor. Have no idea hoe accurate is but as you can see ~1% of the turret then I am happy with how it looks:

Looking good as usual. Those slats are going to be a project, a real project.

Lloyd

Yeah it's going to be a realy test. plan is 2mm x 1mm thick plasticard for the framework and .2mm strut for the horizontals. a LOT of hole drilling tho

OK, so took the plunge and hacked and clagged together the 2nd set of seats. Not neat but at least in proportion to the first one. So primer on this weekend I think....

Next big step - primer on.... must admit it ties it all up nicelt... next up my nemesis - white paint - trying MiG white this time... but thinned with water only....

It's gone white.... actually didn't spray "too bad"... next up detail painting (mostly grey/black for seats & controls and red for extinguishers) and then weathering...

Looking good Rob

Stay safe      Roger

Cheers Roger. I am sadly pleased with how it looks. One thing I have noticed tho, the mesh & "door" I have included should be part of the turret mechanism - oh well, it's in now and not going to be replaced....

Hi Rob,
It doesn't look all that bad with the paint on it, and with weathering it will improve for sure. Although like my model, once everything is assembled in place, it seems that it will be seen little, making what is inside, look quite good.
Cheers and TC
Francis.

thanks Francis. The rear will be quite visible with the doors open, the turret & drivers area less so, hatches are quite small... but hey, again I know its there

If you see that there is too much free space, and you do not like it, maybe you can add backpacks and equipment to give a feeling of use ...

I may do. Have a US set that will fit space, plus the kit came with 2 infantry figures so some personal weapons available

While I await more time painting the interior I have started on the external fixings & fittings... no photos but time to get to grips with the PE side of things
