I thought 5 minutes, but it’s a week now and I’m keeping discipline the new shelving unit helps as I can shuffle builds on and off the wip shelf onto the bench. I also think I’ve finally found a workable order to all my tools.

Marklo
Got a few hours of bench time today. Weathered the T55a, sprayed the base cost on the M3, added the prop on the DII, nearly finished the Sopwith and made huge progress on the caproni, also did a little paint work on the Hind and the DR1. Marklo
Cantour camo in the M3 my cheapo airbrush gave up the ghost so I ended up breaking out the Iwata neo for the first time, very nice. Will still try to fix the other one but reckon the Iwata will be my main airbrush from now on . Primer on the Campini, I think this now looks way cool btw Edited July 27, 2020 by Marklo

Fixed so it can’t happen again, sigh. Edited August 4, 2020 by Marklo

Marklo
Thanks Dennis, mostly fixed. But my Gamecock will need some serious work. Such is life.
Marklo
I’ve never glued so many bits to so many airplanes in one go in my life. So to summarise. Many antennae, wheels, props , other gubbins, reattached. All I can say is where I’ve done structural rigging it pretty much saved the plane. The Pfalz, the Snark and the me262 HG III have had their wings reattached, filled and just need a lick of paint. The Mig 21 and the P40 been new oleos. The He 51 needs its floats reattached. The DFW Flow needs a new interplanetary strut. The Gamecock needs its upper wing reattached, I may take this sown to a monoplane and make new struts and re rig it, after putting so much tile into the original build I don’t want to bodge the repairs. All in all not as bad as I thought, but still bad. Edited August 4, 2020 by Marklo

Marklo
Being philosophical about it at least neither myself nor the dog were injured. And it I was never really happy with the rigging on the Gamecock Having spent about 2 hours in it most of the damage is fixed, so not the end of the world. And of course as an Engineer and man of science I won’t worry about the superstition that these things happen in threes, hmm let’s see, my first attempt at spraying the M3 and subsequent demise of my cheapo airbrush; the paint job on the Caproni; the shelving unit, hopefully that’s it; but of course I’m not superstitious Edited August 4, 2020 by Marklo
Johnny Tip
Tough luck, but hey, more modelling ahead, and not one penny spent! Always look on the bright side of life! 🙈
RichieW
Oh no, so much hard work mangled in an instant. Glad you've got most of it fixed. After taking up the hobby again 6 years ago my only intact models are a 1/32 triplane, 1/72 Spifire and Hurricane. Mrs W. is lethal with a duster. She's destroyed more Spifires and Hurricanes and Mustangs than Adolph Galland. 1
Marklo
Yes getting there. New leg on the P40, just needs to be painted, the Pfalz and the DFW are now only missing a cabane and an interplane strut respectively. The 262 and the Snark have been patched up and are back in the ( now secured ) cabinet. The He51 has one of the two floats reattached. The rigging pretty much kept all the bits together. Which Just leaves the Mig 21 which may get two new oleos as I can’t find the missing one and my poor Gamecock, which is going to take some time. Marklo
The Campini is nearly done. So is the DII Working in the Seabee interior. Edited August 19, 2020 by Marklo
Marklo
These arrived in the post today both only €15 including the postage. So I fired up the new airbrush and varnished my Albatross and my Bristol racer, once I had adjusted it, worked a treat. I now have about 14 1/144 jets so I’ll probably do a group build once I get my wip down a bit. I’m absolutely definitely not starting anything new till I get a few more finishers under my belt. That said, the Caproni, the DII and the JI and the Stuart are all within a few hours benchtime of the finish line.
Marklo
Albatros finished. Hind moved on a bit. Seabee fuselage joined, filled and sanded, still needs a little more filler.

(well, unbuilt -the typhoon has about the same boxart as back when it was still called "Jäger 90") -haven't we all been there Great progress on the WIP though! Especially like the smooth curves on the Campini, being a build from scratch

Marklo
more work on the Taube, interior and turtledeck. The Ta154 progresses, but it’s gonna need a wad of filler. Nearly ready for paint in the mil. Edited September 10, 2020 by Marklo
Marklo
The hind is primed preshaded and starts to get some camo The Taube looks way more finished than it is SeaBee primed and preshaded Almost finished the interior of the JI, just need a seat for the observer. Not sure if they were fitted with machine guns. Decided to give tha Ta154 a proper interior Finally happy with the fuselage of the pink thing. It’s also standing on its own legs and has an interior. Look very carefully and you can see the curtains and seats( but no lavatory) Edited September 26, 2020 by Marklo
bigbadbadge
Crikey you have got a lot going on there Mark. Sorry to hear about the cabinet and glad to are almost all sorted there now. There's some great work going there. Like the HP and the Seabee particularly. Some amazing scratch building too. Chris
