Gardner95x
Hi guys, Bought a 1/48 ARBA FW-190D-11/13 conversion set from the market a few months back and have to decided to use it but need a 1/48 Dora first Now has anyone used this set before and if so what kits are compatible as there are no instructions with the set or on the packaging saying what kits it works with. Or will it most probably work with any Dora kit? Thanks Jack
Crimea River
If you have to buy a kit for it then there's no sense buying an Eduard one since they already make a full D-11/13 kit. I don't know if the conversion set was designed for a particular kit but I suspect it would work with the Tamiya D-9 kit. However, Tamiya's kit, in my opinion, also suffers from an incorrect wheel well, narrow tires and a too-small spinner, though I think you get a new prop and spinner with the set. Hasegawa also make one but I have no experience with it. My choice would be to do the full Eduard D-11/13 kit and avoid the butchery.
colin
Trouble with the Eduard FW190 kits is that they seem to designed to have the Cannon/gun hatches open, bit of a nightmare build wise if you want them closed though
Parabat
Looks like Niknak had some success with it (Tamiya kit), drop him a PM to ask how he got on with it?

Duncan B
Hobby Boss do a D-10, D-11, D-12 and a D-13 and they are all very nice kits (must have been Hobby Boss's A team that did them) and not very expensive. Duncan B
