Daa Daa Daa Tovaritch Nikolaï Alanievitch !!

Recommended Posts

Hello Dears...

Did you expect this one ???

Muuut !! Error !!

My son Nicolas is learning russian langage...

And since he started it.... How can I say it ???

He seem to be fascinated by the soviet union era... Amazing !!

So he told me that it's not normal that I did'nt model soviet aircraft at this time...

I defend myself, answering that I already commit a MiG 3 and a Il-2...

So here are 3 kits started years ago...

IMG_20200417_212056

This one will receive North Vietnamese markings...

IMG_20200417_212207

Here's where I was...

I received my Pavla seat but it was broken...

Once again, PE fret came up to my rescue...

IMG_20200417_223820

I will carefully cut out the resin kind of spoon over the pilot's head and replace it by the PE one !

sprue shot...

IMG_20200417_212218

And I started to improve the Sidewindersky...

IMG_20200417_230536

Well, It's also a 3 kits thread...

The next one is a tribute to a great pilot !! and a great woman !!

IMG_20200409_235949

Years ago, I read books about female russian pilots !!

And get a soft point for Lilya Litvak...

IMG_20200410_000003

So here is her early Yak-1

I have all I can need to represent her other and alas late Yak-1

But that's for another day !!

The 3rd ?? A Yak-9 ICM that will bear the North Korean markings !!

Let's see what will happen!

Take care of you and your family Gents !!

Have a great modelling sunday....

Sincerely.

Off: I born in Soviet Union, my friend )

And I could to help with Russian )

"Tovaritch Nikolaï Alanievitch" = "Товарищ Николай Аланьевич". May be you mean "Андрющенко Николай Ананьевич"? It's sound like "Nikolay Ananievitch". This is page about him, he's soviet ace:

Careful with the nose landing gear and cockpit lugs. I missed one when I joined my J-7G together (it's the same Trumpeter fuselage as your kit) and ended up with it misaligned. The tabs are easy to knock out of alignment when it's being joined.

It needs very little nose weight, so that much should be fine.

Total offtopic, for your son's information - "tovarisch" is never used with a name, only with surname or rank/position/profession/role.

"Nikolai Alanievich" as Valentin has already mentioned is a highly unusual name, his father must be from Osetia, even there it is rare.

Suppose Nikolai's surname is Pupkin and he is in the military rank of Major, then formal salutation would be "Tovarisch Pupkin" or "Tovarisch Major"

Hello Dears,

I resumed work on the fishbed !!

And still resisting the temptation of starting a new thread....

So here I am @The Spadgent, working on a delta from the same era as your !!

IMG_20221221_220501

I erased the Pavla moulded in seat belts an use the Eduard ones instead....

Sincerely.

Hello Gents !!

Here I'm again... Since I'm particularly bored by my Hurricane and Raptor....

I found it wise to play with something else....

I will not take advantage of the opened engine cowling....

Knowing the old ICM kits....

Guess how I learned it ???

IMG_20230719_204625

Some sink marks have been fixed too....

See you on Friday....

Sincerely.

Hi CC,

more great subjects - I know what you mean about Lydia Litvyak, too - the Yak-1 will be a nice tribute to her!

Another thing I like about a CC build thread is that you're not worried about having multiple builds in progress, and if one gets set aside for a while it doesn't matter. I need to take a leaf out your book and be more chilled.

Cheers,

Mark

IMG_20231204_222155

Accurate miniatures did great kits, but so ... Ewww How can I say it ????

Tomorrow, I'll surely put my mitts on my Avenger factory....

Knowing that the other projects are still on their respective ways....

I'll try some painting tomorrow.....

Enjoy your bench time Gents and Ladies....

Sincerely...
