Airfix Cromwell 72nd pretty much OOB

Recommended Posts

well,  after, what,  10 years here,  first tank,  and second 'real' completion.

Built OOB,  apart from fixing an axle and adding some antennas, and making new Besa out of brass tubing, which I was really pleased with.

Short WIP here  https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235071371-airfix-cromwell-been-a-long-time-since-i-did-a-tank

finished is a a Vallejo mix for for SCC15, kleer, oil wash, drybrush with base and lighter base, and matt varnish.   See link for more, and info on the track colour.

Pics snapped this afternoon as bit cloudy, so soft light if a bit dull.  the 'base'  is a an old stained and battered card table I picked up, just for the odd occasion I want a table out front, but the 'distressed' baize has it's uses... laid on the storage box outside the house.

Not had the heart to splatter it with mud....as yet..   Or I might just do another for weathering.   I have more picked up so I could practice, before working on my TOTS collection...

(TOTS = The One True Scale,  ie 1/48th,  I think as both planes and tanks are the same...)

anyway,  useful suggestions and helpful critiques welcomed.

Nice Cromwell Troy. The only piece of advice that I would offer would be to change the headlamp guards for ones made from bent wire.
