bar side
Nice. Can’t have enough U2’s. Nice work so far. Did a 1/48 TR-1 last year. That’s a big wingspan. But the earlier U2 is nearer to the starting Starfighter body
DMC
Really looking good so far. Four years ago I did a lot of work on a Testors “C”. Here’s the thread with only a few photos left on the last page. Photobucket again. I have another U-2C. Italeri, unbuilt. Following with interest. Dennis
roadrunner
Hello, -A new nozzle a little longer than that of the box and a 1/72 F-16 part for the turbine. - the air intake, which occupied me a few milliseconds .... Well, it's already more like a U-2A (sure not perfect, but better than OOB...)
Col.
Good to see someone tackling the issues with this kit and showing what can be done to create a better replica
ReccePhreak
After seeing all that needs to be done (And, what actually CAN be done), to make an accurate 1/48 U-2A (And a 1/48 U-2C) out of the AFV Club "Caricature Kits", I am glad I hung onto some of my old Hawk & Testors kits. After unloading a bunch of them a few years ago, my stash is down to 3 U-2A kits, 5 U-2C kits and 7 U-2R/TR-1 kits. I am getting the itch to start on one of them, right after I finish detailing my MPC Shuttle Tydirium kit. Larry

franky boy
Excellent. I’ve wanted to see one of these built for ages as I quite fancy one myself. Any chance of a shot next to something to gauge the scale🙂 Thanks James * Edit. Scrap that request. Just seen your first photo.
