71chally
Nearly £50 for a 48th Meteor, someone is having a laugh surely?!
Work In Progress
It's a lot of money but given the size and relatively limited audience it doesn't seem wildly out of proportion with other new and recent tools, e.g. the much more mainstream Airfix which now lists at just under £40, or the Javelin which is now pre-ordering at £59.99 https://www.airfix.com/uk-en/gloster-meteor-fr9-1-48.html
71chally
The Javelin is far bigger in size and sheer amount of plastic, plus the kit looks a lot more complex, I do get however there is a difference in the sales appeal between the two kit manufacturers. £35 seems right for Meteor, £60 for the less popular Javelin seems reasonable to me. Hannants price for the Sword Meteor, Kit £49.99, with postage £53.89. From Sword shop , Kit £32.00, with postage to uk £42.07. People should get in quick if buying direct as that's a temporary 10% discount price from the Sword website, so once it reverts to normal it will be £45.27 posted from Sword, which is only £2.47 different from what UK retailers are now selling them at post-paid on eBay.
