One other thing, with all that lovely dashboard detail, do cover the moulding that makes the two large items look like instrument dials. These must be the cathode ray tube displays for the radar. Smooth surface (glass) with a green CRT colour...

Thanks for the shots. Very useful and thank you for the reminder. I was going to do that and with all the other bits, totally forgot. I’ll blank them tomorrow before decals and paint. I have a plan. 🙌

I managed a little progress on the office today. Also some lockdown goodies arrived.🤩

These appeared.

Thanks @CedB how I have lasted without these I know not. They’re amazing. 🤗🤗🤗 as you can see they got rid of the number on the inner wall and the pesky pin mark with ease.

Now painted, I have used rubber black with a black post shade. Unorthodox but it’s got me to where I want to be. 🤩

Everything will get this treatment early doors then I’ll work I to them. Main base.

The ip (I’ll blank off the radar before decals) thanks @Mattlow for the reminder. 

Control stick.

I’m going for this look on the seats.

So on with the black and a pre shade for the other colours.

Then gloss coat before the other colours and extras.  

oh and I got these in the post.

The Easiest kit ever. Just one piece. 🤗

And because the shipping was ridiculous from Airfix I figured I’d make it worth it and bought this too.

Zero is looking less impressed now he realises he can’t eat it. 🤣

oh and I got this with the shopping too.

Lovely extra work being done there, the kit really deserves it!

I built three (couldn't resist that glorious Roy Huxley artwork!) when I was younger, seem to remember the Matchbox plastic benefitted from a handsaw to modify it, but they look great on the shelf!

Yes they’re great!!!🤩 The Marmite was ace. I had it on toast with some marmite peanut butter. What a combo.😍

Hey!  happy hump day. 🤩
Thanks for all the lovey comments. Decided to do a spot of painting after work. It was light when I started, I looked up and it was dark. 😳🤪

I have a base colour coat on the rest of the pit parts. The decals went on too, not initially happy as there were a lot of white edges that made them look toy like. There was some to and fro with dark paint and different dot colours but I think I’m happy now. 
let’s start with the seats.

And

As a flat coat I’m happy with that. Lots of weathering to go to pick out highs and lows. 
The control stick got some pin points.

Here’s the IP.

I cut the dials and popped them on.

The radar got blanks added and the decals added with a clear Tamiya paint pass. You can see where the white rims got painted out. I think with some touches the original decals are pretty good. 😇 colours dotted on too. Overall happy.

The side buttons got a few colours.

And a bit of colour on the back buttons.

After a bit of a wobble and the touch ups on the IP I decided to add a bit of pre depth before I do the weather and am wash pass. I used a citadel wash I bought ages ago to settle the creases.

That’s better. Now I just have to make the belts, straps, clasps and handles. 🤓I’ll try and find some decals too.

as you can see through the window it’s gone dark. 🤯

so I’ll leave it there for now. 
Last lot of goodies turned up today.

Can’t wait to use those masks. 🤩🤩🤩

I sent you a couple of images with an orange radar display, but the green looks more 'right' I suppose..?
