Because I was inverted
Just finished the 1/48 A-10 Thunderbolt from Italeri, my first jet build. Had a lot of fun, learned a lot and there is enough room for improvement (just have a quick look at the canopy). I painted the model using spray cans. Starting with a white primer, Tamiya AS-28 and finishing with a matte varnish from Vallejo. The model has been weathered using some panel liner and a wash from Vallejo. For future projects I’m interested in buying an airbrush, tips are more than welcome.

markmcguire25
Nice build on your first jet. Wayyyyy better than the beginning jets I first built! And a "Devil's Cross" to boot. 👍
Lord Riot
Looking superb! Very realistic weathering too. Does that kit include an 81 FW option?

Filler
Nice work. An A-10 is on my furlough build list. I hope I can match your build. 9 hours ago, Lord Riot said: Looking superb! Very realistic weathering too. Does that kit include an 81 FW option? You'd want the previous boxing from 2006 as that has 81st markings. However, it's a post Gulf War I aircraft from after they'd moved to Alconbury. I'd guess though that you'd be better off with the Tamiya kit that includes decals for a mid eighties Bentwaters/Woodbridge example.
jimmyg352
That's about 4,000,000 times better than the pile of crap mines turning out to be, which is the Tamiya 1/48 one. Excellent work. Did you use the kit decals?
