Homebee
About - ref. 82122 - Zlín Z-226MS Trenér - ProfiPACK Source: https://www.facebook.com/EduardCompany/posts/5163436210337951 Quote Mr. Tow The Trenér aircraft is a phenomenon not only in the country of their origin, i.e. the Czech Republic and Slovakia today, but also in many other countries. The Z-226MS aircraft are mainly conversion from earlier Z-126, Z-126T, Z-226B or Z-226T versions by installing the 132 kW M-137 engine and the V-503A propeller with autonomous pitch control. These aircraft are mainly used for towing gliders today. The OK-JCA, which served as a master for the kit boxart, is flying with the Gliding Aerobatic Club of Mr. Milos Ramert from Benesov Airport today and belongs to the MSs converted from Z-126. Originally it had OK-JHJ matriculation, after conversion to Z-226M and then MS in 1999 the aircraft had been serving with Aeroclub Jičín under new matriculation OK-JCA until 2012. That year it was sold to the current owner. In its new location, due to the proximity of the town of Benešov and the tourist area around the Konopiště castle, the OK-JCA was fitted with a exhaust silencer to reduce noise. In Jičín, a sticker with a drawing of Rumcajs was applied to both sides of the rudder, but it was already considerably faded by the time of the sale. Today, only the outlines of the fairy-tale kind-hearted robber are more or less visible. The kit Cat. No. 82182 is a continuation of the previous Limited Edition as a ProfiPACK series. It offers markings for six aircraft from different airfields in Czech Republic. Thanks to the photoetched parts it also reflects many differences in the equipment of each aircraft. To make painting of more complex markings easier, masks are also included as well as the masks for large canopy. Schemes: V.P. Paul J
On 08/04/2020 at 15:54, Work In Progress said: Oh, yes please. I'm pretty much legally required to do Z-526A G-AWAR in British aerobatic team colours, June 1970. And possibly a fixed-gear 226 too. That will be interesting G-AWAR was the one in which Neil Williams had an incident during some aeros practice. One wing snapped at the root so he rolled it inverted to keep it in place and brought it down until just before touch down , rolled to the right way up and landed with the wing finally breaking away. A brilliant piece of flying . A more accurate version of this tale is in his book. Modelling wise I on the verge of completing a 1/72 kit in the same colour scheme but as G-ATMZ.

Jon Bryon
The Z-126 is available in the UK, but oddly not shown anywhere on the Eduard website... https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/EDK11156?result-token=PJpuE There are no markings details anywhere (although the profiles are shown in the December issue of Eduard News), but I'd love to know if that green machine is a military rather than civil scheme. Ka-Efka
Really hope this line of kits will be a success for Eduard. Great subject, great kits.
Thomas V.
Superb kits, but wish more decal options from the period when these Zlin's entered production, so 1950-1970's , way too many schemes of today's planes, especially goes for latest Z-126 boxings. Would prefer more factory schemes from the production history. Hope this leads to Avia C-2 or better known as Arado 96 ( in my view most important/ forgotten LW aircraft ) Edited April 9, 2022 by Thomas V.

zigster
I wonder if Eduard done something about sink-marks in the flaps: https://www.kfs-miniatures.com/storage/P3073093.jpg And if "yes", are going to replace parts for whoever bought the "faulty" kit? This is not just a simple - putty & sand, considering the placement and detail around. zig
