Yankee Air Pirate
I am planning a Hasegawa Ju-87 in Italian (Regia Aeronautica) markings. My question to the experts is, did the Italians use their own bombs? A search of the web turned up very few photos of armed RA Ju-87s (?), but a couple of poor photos seem to show Italian bombs. There is a neat looking set of resin Italian bombs available from Ultracast. Any info greatly appreciated!
ClaudioN
Not an expert, but the few photos I have come across suggest Italian bombs. One picture (that I am unable to find again, sorry) shows a 250-kg Italian bomb being lifted to its attachment under the fuselage. 50-kg bombs on wing attachments were also used. 72modeler
YAP, Don't know if this will be of much use, but see the linked photos below. I'm assuming the X-mas message is painted on Italian bombs. Maybe @Giorgio N would be your man on this subject. Neat photos, in any event! Giorgio N
Unfortunately I'm not really that knowledgeable on Italian Stukas. Best I can is check the Ali d'Italia book and see if they mention anything

If I may offer a handy tip for young players ('splaining alert - gather 'round, kids, Captain's gonna teach stuff); try using a search engine that is based in your subject country (e.g. use Google Italy). Also, try using foreign language searches (in your case, you could try "Ju-87 Regia Aeronautica" or "Ju 87 Italia bombe' or "Ju-87 Regia bombe tipo". Otherwise, post requests on those countries' modelling sites! It won't always work, but I find I often get more/better results than I would by using my own countries' search engines. A quick, back-of-the-fag packet search using "Ju-87 Regia Aeronautica bombe" on Google Italy came up with: http://forum.tantopergioco.it/discussion/6310/bombe-ju-87-regia and http://www.modellismostatico.flazio.com/JUNKERS Ju 87 Stuka Picchiatello and https://www.modellismopiu.it/modules/newbb_plus/print.php?forum=178&topic_id=136369 Happy hunting!
