Afternoon folk's,this was never going to be a long build being such a simple kit but it's been a great trip down memory lane,I "scribed" the major panel

lines to bring it a bit more up to date added a wash and some graphite staining too.

Airfix 1/48 Seafire IIIC built OOTB with replacement canopy from my spares box. Brush painted with acrylics.

By all accounts a rather chunky rendition of the aircraft by todays standards but a great kit to build nonetheless!

Thanks to all for likes, comments and contributions, all very much appreciated.

AZ Model Seafang...the last of a dying breed, a stepping stone between pistons and jets.   Described by some as 'too much Spitfire.'

Sleek little number.

Supermarine Spitfire Mk 1

603 Squadron RAF 1940, Tamiya 1/48

Just missed ANZAC Day but here is Brian Carburys', Spitfire. Brian was a New Zealander and one of very few 'Aces in a day', having downed 5 ac on 31 August 1940 in XTW.

Model built from the box with only additional seat belts. Serials and codes home printed, codes in grey onto white flim then cut out before application. Serials and remaining decals from kit.

Very pleasant quick build.

The quickest build I've done in years, must be something going on in the world for that to happen!

OOB other than the etch seat belts. Thanks for looking :)

Hello everyone... I present my 1/72 KP Mk.Vb in the colors and markings of Robert S. Tuck one of my favorite pilots. The plane carries the markings it was carrying when Tuck was shot down by Flak. To quote Wiki.

“ It was while flying from Biggin Hill that Tuck's last mission of the war occurred. On 28 January 1942, while on a low-level fighter sweep "Rhubarb" mission over northern France, his Spitfire was hit by enemy ground-based flak near Boulogne and he was forced to crash land.“

Supermarine Seafang F.Mk. 32

This is the AZ kit, a first for me.

Having built the "First Spitfire" the Rareplanes Type 224 when I first returned to the Hobby. It seemed only fitting to build the last in this GB. Think of them as a pair of bookends for all the others in between.

I hope you like it

Cheers Pat
