Marklo
The Snark am experimental triplane using the ill fated ABC Dragonfly engine. Three machines were built this is the third prototype. Side by side with my scratch built Pfalz Dr1, imagine if these two had seen service. With my scratchbuilt Pup, surprisingly big for a triplane. The WIP thread. Bandsaw Steve
Nice! I really like tri-planes. Especially when someone else builds them! 1
Harold55
That is an interesting tri-plane indeed, I have never heard of it and you're right, for a tri-plane its big. Just finished Eduards Sopwith tri-plane and yours looks huge by comparison. Nice build and I appreciate having the known Pup to compare it to.
Marklo
It most definitely is a rare Sopwith tbh I liked it for the name mire than anything. Had the ABC engines not been a total disaster it may well have gone into service as it was described as very satisfying to fly. I have a Sopwith triplane ready to start I’m most interested to see the size comparison.

pheonix
Excellent build log and a super finished model. I do like these obscure types - so much more interesting. P
