Sabre wing tip colour

Hello chaps

 

Can anyone take an educated guess as to what colour the wingtip is painted on this Sabre? I’m thinking red or yellow?

Looks like it might be green:

I would suggest blue.  The nose of the aircraft and the lightning flash are blue.  Look here -

Thanks for sharing the file, it’s a really interesting read. Or look in my case with not being fluent in Norwegian!

 

I agree with you in that logic tells me that the tips should be blue to go along with the rest of the aircrafts markings but my eyes are saying that they’re green? Although it does depend on the light conditions.

Blue is the squadron (Skv) colour; it's not beyond the realms that green could be a Flight colour. I looked at another colour shot and that too looks to be green. Either way, it's a pale shade compared to the Skv shade.

Anyone else notice what appears to be a Martin Baker Mk4 ejector seat in the cockpit? Wouldn't want anyone to get the wing tips the right colour but miss that particular detail!

It's an M-B seat and modified canopy rails: standard on later Norwegian Fs.
