I have to say, the early Gustavs are also really underrepresented.

The G-2 and G-4 were prolific, they fought in all theaters and under the colors of a number of air forces. And there's, what, AZModel's and FineMolds' kits only?

They're not bad kits by any means by the FM is a tad short and "lean", the AZ one has the nose shape issues.

I agree definitely. I'd like to see the early Gustavs next before the G-6 onwards for sure. In any case I'm a happy camper and will be buying many of these kits over the coming years I don't doubt (that is unless they really make a mess off the accuracy but I can't see that happening now considering Eduard already fixed mistakes once with their original 1/48 G tooling but you never know)

Excellent to see these are coming first. I'll likely pick up both boxes. Eduard always do a good job with the Dual Combo kits and often have some great schemes included. Like I said just hoping that the accuracy is good. Will have to keep an eye on what Barry Numerick says especially as he led the charge against the AZ Model 109s and their strange shape. He was very happy with the Special Hobby Emils though (which used the Eduard data) so again I'm hoping for the best.

Eduard Info: The Limited Edition Wunderschone Neue Machinen Pt.1 will introduce the Bf 109F-2 and F-4, the first of our Bf 109F, G and K kits in 1:72nd scale, which will be with us for a good number of years. (...) New kits of specific Bf 109F, G and K variants will be spread out over several years and will total somewhere in the neighborhood of dozens. The entire project includes fourteen sprues (not counting the molds for the S-199 and CS-199), and most of these deal with differences in the fuselages and wings.

I know  this information, but I didn't know about any specific dates of profipacks. However, I was hoping to see Afrika set this year...But who knows, with such a huge number boxes in the future maybe one day we'll see this "limited edition".

I know it's a pie in the sky, but it would be great if Eduard focuses more on 1/72 next year - like releasing Tempests or early Spitfires. But I assume we'll have to wait other eons...

I can't wait to see the clear parts. Hopefully Eduard has done away with this fiddling with the bulletproof glass pane. Furthermore, it is questionable whether the deeper oil cooler (Fö 870) is included with the F-4 Z version or whether it will be a separate kit like Fine Molds (FL5).Happy Easter to everyone in the world.

"The most awaited kit is WUNDERSCHÖNE NEUE
MASCHINEN part 1, is the 1/72 scale Limited Edition
Dual Combo, dedicated to Messerschmitt Bf 109F-2
and F-4. The kit includes two sets of frames, containing
two fuselage versions and three wing versions, used
on different developmental variants of the Bf 109F-1,
F-2 and F-4. The kit offers 14 decal options, one F-1,

follow-up to the 1/725 scale Avia S-199 released last
year. It will be followed by other parts of this extensive
project in the following months: in September will be
released WUNDERSCHÖNE NEUE MASCHINEN Volume

"including tropical and fighter-bomber versions."

I don't see the F-B parts on the sprue diagram, but i'm really hoping that the bombs etc. will be included.  I've got it in my mind to build W3 (iirc) from JG 53.

Parts 27 and 39 on sprue U seems to be two different bomb racks, 250 kg bomb is made from parts 10, 24, 71 and 72. This sprue seems to be common for many boxes because I can see there cockpit parts, two types of fuel tanks, three types of filters and four (five?) types of tail wheels.

The Wunderschöne Neue Maschinen Part 1 can now be pre-ordered on Mojehobby. About 30€ for basically two profipacks with plenty of schemes is not bad. Considering what most of their Profipacks and even Weekend kits cost nowadays. On some online shops weekend kits with new prices are more expensive than profipacks with old prices. Some retailers, like Mojehobby raised the price of all Eduard products, even those that they already had in their stock.

I'll definitely buy the set. As far as I know, no manufacturer has a Bf 109 F-1. I hope Eduard has implemented the transition from the wing to the fuselage correctly.

What really annoys me are the transparent parts of the cockpit. The armored glass pane in front of the pulpit as a separate part is just silly for me on this scale. A front part with and one without armored glass pane like Special Hobby's kit of the Bf 109 E-4/7 would have made more sense. But maybe there will be a new cockpit, like the 1/48 variant, including a new cockpit as Eduard Brassin in 1/72 and then with bulletproof glass?

For Pizzapaolo: Only 10? Lucky you. I have over 40 left in stock and still need this set. I think I should seek professional psychiatric help... 🤪

New prices from Eduard mean new prices from retailers. If there are 2 pieces of some kit in stock with the old price and you replenish the stock with 10 new ones at a higher price, the two old ones also have their prices raised, for simplicity's sake.

Back to the kit, here are markings options from Eduard Leaflet, for those who don't download their PDFs.

Taylor Durban says "Ouuuuhhhh look at this boxart. And with a „Eisernes Kreuz“ within? Those damn Eduard guys know how to make hart modellers weak…"

That's not an Iron Cross, it's a denazified Knight's Cross...

I would prefer the announced wheels of the main landing gear (Eduard Brassin ED672316) as an "encore".

Hm, look at the eyelet on top of the cross. Can you look thru the eyelet, it is a knights cross. If you canˋt, itˋs an iron cross. But with the mounts of Marseille and Mölders on the boxcover a knights cross would make more sense. Anyway, itˋs a nice gimmick.
