Hopefully they will eventually do a standard G-12 as well ?

And one can only dream of the Bulgarian post-war local trainer variant that was built with the Erla canopy, and later (50s) served in Yugoslavia.

As much as people say, and rightly so, that there are a lot of G-6 kits, I wouldn't mind Eduard doing a Bf 109F/G/K series.. finding a good Bf 109G-2 or G-4 kit is actually quite a pain!

All main Bf109F/G/K versions including the G-12 in 1/72  are confirmed based on info provided by CEO recently several times, so why not to repeat once again. It will just take up to three years from now on, in the most optimistic scenario.

3 years better than never! At my building rate it will sit on my stash for another 5 years

The only problem with this kit is Eduard are still insist on molding the pitot probe integral with the wing. Do they expect it to still be there at the end of the build? 🤪

Cool I didn't realise that. I wish they did the same thing with their Tempest.

There wil be a 'S-199 in IAF service' kit somewhen this year.

There are three Israeli options in the current dual combo, I'm not sure how many more variations can be made available.

"Any colour as long as it's RAL6013!". ;)

There is no C sprue in the Mk II kit and in the Mk.V the C sprue only contains two parts - the fuselage halves.

25 (?) were in IAF. ;)

123ד  got a green-sand/brown (?) camouflage.

I saw drawing of white 4 in blue-sand.

104ד with small roundels on sides.

And famous 120ד  was not in the kit.

:D

Did it? I thought that was a myth, I have an old KP / Mastercraft kit with those markings but remember reading it was based on a misinterpretation of a b/w photo of a RAL6013 one under camouflage netting.

I'd love to be proven wrong though!

Are we talking about the 1/72nd S-199? My kits have sprues C.

Sorry I thought you were referring to my Tempest comment. I haven't got the 199 kit yet.

Was just reading up on the IAF Avia's last evening and the thought is that D.123 shows signs of touch-up and not a multi-color camo.  Believe there were only two done in any kind of camo and that was after they were out of service and doing gate-guard and airframe school duties.  The gate guard was D.121 that still survives today and the other was scrapped in the early 50's.

As Andre said above: "Any colour as long as it's RAL6013!" 😉

Of course possible!

Once there was a german history TV show about the Independence War and the S-199, that was a german plane.

In this show there was a witness of that time, who saw the S-199 ariving in Israel.

He said, they had to paint over the Hakenkreuz at the tail.

So even a witness is no source.
