Doug 8
Hi all, what, if any are your thoughts on the accuracy of the Hataka RAF desert colours. Dark earth, middle stone and Azure blue. I'm used to Humbrol acrylics which all seem a little on the dark side so I have decided to give the Hataka brand a go instead.
europapete 195
I have found that Xtracolour enamels and Colourcoats are the best RAF colour matches.
elger 2,884
This is what they look like. These are their acrylics - not their laquers. They looked fine to me, but I didn't really like how they sprayed (personal preference). Very similar to Vallejo Air - if you like that, you'll like working with Hataka: Edited March 23, 2020 by elger changed pic
franky boy 2,129
They look pretty good to me. Ive been using their lacquers for a while now and they spray beautifully. But as you say it’s personal preference. Nice build to by the way. James Edited March 23, 2020 by franky boy
Jamie @ Sovereign Hobbies 13,112
The Azure looks like it might be FS35231 rather than MAP Azure. Can anyone confirm or refute?

Can anyone confirm or refute? looking at my model the Hataka comes out a little lighter than FS35231 but not dissimilar - more light blue and less purple.
fewr9fkr9595 6,625
Hi mate I used them a few years back on a spit vb and looked ok to me? Not got any pics of that build as it is long sold on and my hard disk crashed that they were on.
wellsprop 3,617
I've used Hataka acrylics (for brush) on my latest Spitfire (standard RAF day fighter scheme), I've been very impressed with the quality, colour and the ease of brushing.
