At Sea
Built this OOB in just over a week. Really enjoyed it and even the intakes were not as bad as I feared. Seen here with a friend...
At Sea
The fact it got here at all is a miracle. Tamiya panel line 'ate' into the Halfords varnish and would not come off. So a respray was required, the sharp eyed among you will notice that the formation 'slime' markings are incorrect as I needed to make another set from some spare decals.
Lord Riot
Looks good! Very smart looking Tiffie. There'll come a time when all we have his drones and we look back on these the way we now remember Jags and Lightnings. Need to add one to my collection really.

If you look in the background to the paint disaster pic you can see the third amigo underway. @29Triplex has been waiting patiently for this one! 29Triplex
I presume as it is 'P' XV399 - you have used the X48200 Xtradecal sheet? This is the first time I have seen them applied. I await the photo's of the finished build. Keep up the Great work 👍
Phone Phixer
Terrific work and a good recovery. Seems to be a 29 Sqn theme going off there.

I plan to have one from every FAA & RAF squadron done by the time I finish. The go down well, scaled well, the XXX fin flash is too long, but easy to sort. Little silvering still to deal with, then the epic stencil battle using the XtraDecal stencils.

There is, and it started by accident. Steve (29Triplex) very kindly supplied me with 64(R) and 29(F) decals for my 1:48 Tornado F.3 kit (pictured) as I wanted to build the aircraft pictured in my 'Great Interceptor Aircraft' book from when I was a kid. He mentioned that he was ex 29, so I obliged with an F.3 build in that scheme, knowing him to be a Phantom nut I promised an FGR.2 appropriately liveried. Not got round to it, and having messed up the decals on a low viz 29'er which became a 23 Falklands bird I thought it was time. When it came to building a Typhoon, and 29 was in the box it seemed natural. As regards RAF squadrons I am most drawn to 19 & 92 from the German days with Lightnings and Phantoms, no reason really, just interesting times, good liveries and cool kit.
