Another Spitfire FR.XIV

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Just finished my Spitfire.  Nice kit, although some of the parts are packed very close together and need care removing from the sprues.  Added some AM seat belts and decals but otherwise oob

And I believe the spinner spiral may be going the wrong way.  That's the way its printed on the sheet, tho'.

Very nice Martin,...... yes the spinner spiral is printed back to front,..... I applied mine upside down and used itas a guide for overpainting it yellow.

Oooooo I like that, what a lovely model Martin, great work. Love the finish.  .

All the best

Chris

Thanks, Chris.  Photos show the aircraft to be heavily used, so I tried to weather it a bit and it came out well.

No I just like making work for myself LOL! To be fair,..... I only noticed it before adding the decals,........ like you,....if I`d heard about it afterwards I would have just left it,......and believe me,.....I wished I had when I was wielding the tiny brush loaded with yellow paint! Made me feel for the blokes who did it for real.

Don't know if you're interested, but it was painted with Tamiya rattle can RAF colours using paper masks made by photocopying at a larger scale the painting instructions.
