TonyW
What a fine restoration! I love the idea of it being your own build from all those years ago, now giver a first class freshen up and looking good for a few more years yet. G for George has certainly earned its keep for Airfix over the years, released in 1958 in a box that looks like it contained fireworks. The version I first built was the Type 3 boxing with the fantastic Roy Cross artwork. Thanks for the trip down memory lane, Tony. 3
Vulcanicity
What a save! I do enjoy seeing people work their magic on restoring kit wrecks and this one is a particularly amazing transformation 👏

Here she is rebuilt. Using decals courtesy of a fellow modeler, I was able to finish her in the same markings as the first time I built her. She's finished as AR-G W4783 and served on 90 operations with a Royal Australian Air Force squadron in WW2 before being retired and sent to Australia. She's preserved in the National War Museum in Canberra. Far from perfect but the nostalgia factor outweighs all her faults for me. David 460 Squadron RAAF Binbrook, Lincolnshire.
