Dads203
Right chaps, no lighting, no interior, no hot tub on the rear deck on this build or even a rubber duck sat next to the commander, just an "almost a vanilla build, almost from the box " I've started to build up the running gear on the lower hull, bump stops are in place on one side along with the return roller mounts and sprocket hub, its very nicely detailed and I'm impressed so far, some flash on a few parts but nothing to complain about. Enjoy Dan

Dads203
Cracking on with the running gear, shock units still to add but you get the idea. Its a nice kit and is well engineered, fits together very well and this is also my first Takom build. Regards Dan
Hamden
This is coming together at quite a rate, detail looks great straight out of the box! Roger
ivan-o
Nice change from a gun tank 👍 How do we get them to do a Chieftain ARRV or AVRE?
Dads203
Cheers guys, I should get the majority of the running gear done later apart from the tracks, Takom are kitting some great subjects so it’s possible to see a few more left wing subjects coming from them. We might just see more Brit stuff yet Dan

Probably just in my mind ? Perhaps you were smaller then in your short pants ..... Looking forward to watching your magic Kev

Hi Mike, The Tamiya NATO green should be okay mate, I add a few drops of buff to lighten it up but nothing major. It’s a good match. Dads203
Moving on to the other details, crew doors added, these we not the best fit but will suffice, they will be okay under paint. Bow mounted MG fitted, almost lost this one to the carpet monster ! And the internal winch, this will not be seen as it has an armoured cover normally closed on the move. More later folks, Stay safe Dan
Dads203
A small update on the build, The crane is now almost together, fit is good with just a touch of filler. The top is not glued on as the cables need to be added to the lifting gear. Plus it needs painting on the inside. Stay safe everyone. Dads203
The jib or hook assembly next, this is a little kit in its own right and is very well detailed. Some ejector pins but they will not be seen on the final assembly. Numerous hull details being added. Cheers for looking in Dan
Hamden
Nice looking crane Dan, this looks far more capable than the CRARRV. Looking forward to more of this Roger
Dads203
Cheers Roger, Its a bit of a monster TBH mate, be nice to compare it with the Chally ARRV. Adding the various fitting to the upper hull, all simple and very straight forward at this point. Head light brackets going on. Rear tool box, I think for track tools ? Crane base added Some really nice details moulded onto the kit, some of the best I've seen for a while. Enjoy and stay safe all. Dan

Dads203
Cheers Guys, So just adding more of the many details to the hull, some wicked ejector pins that need cleaning up and some minor flash here and there, nothing to serious though. Some really great detail they have managed to get into this kit and I'm impressed, some of the smaller details you would associate with a resin manufacturer and not a main street IM company Regards Dan

Dads203
Cheers Jeroen, the detail is very good indeed and very complete with this kit. They have looked at everything and rendered it very well. So far no Aftermarket has been harmed in the making of this kit Some of todays additions to the hull Stay safe everyone Dan
