Not much more to do then before a shot of primer that may be done tomorrow and then it'll be taken home to await painting. Stuart Hi Stuart At this point in the war they are probably not "jerrycans" but either 2 gallon or 4 gallon flimsies so the size and shape isn't far off to be honest. Courageous
@Terry1954 & @Murdo, thanks for the praise. It is a nice little thing. Hi Ben ( @badger ) thanks for the 'flimsy' info. The kit offerings don't look right to me, so I will be going down the 'flimsy' option, just got to either find some or scratch them. Thought I'd try and move this along as I wait for the Milicast accessories to arrive. Overall paint applied but with the kit instructions at the work model bench, I'm not sure of what colour to paint those 'boxes' that are on the front wheel arches? What are those boxes anyway? Stuart Nice work. For the boxes I would say the colour you have or a slight variation.
Courageous
What ever those boxes are on the front mudguards, I've seen the odd image where the odd one is a completely different colour, a green possibly. Also, I noticed that their are small circular doors (?) on each side of the turret, presumably to expel the shell casings when closed down? Anyhow, as I don't have my punch &die set here as it's at work, I thought I'd update you with some little but important details. I ordered these some time ago and because the postal service isn't as it was, I received these recently from Hauler. Although they are 1/72, I'm not going to worry about that. They were duly removed from the fret, cleaned up using a file and folded into shape, they don't look too bad. I should imagine that these would be rather worn, so I better learn how to do that. Thanks Mr Hauler. Also in the post... ...supplies from Milicast in the shape of accessories and bags of figures for this and future builds. I have painted the tyres by the way. Courageous
Has been a while since the last update but mojo has been a little low, so it's time to change that... a little. Sand channels, accessories and figure painted and the whole lot has had a coat of gloss, ready for decals and wash. Also started on base with a mixture of rocks and very fine 'play' sand. I want to add a 'height' element but not sure how/ what to use as yet. Stuart

Until recently, the good weather has kept me on gardening duties but have found some time to further the Humber. What few decals their are, have been applied, followed by another gloss coat. A dark brown oil wash applied and excess removed. Once dried, a matt coat was applied, ready to receive some sand coloured pastels. The only thing to fit is the towing cable that I have yet still to make. Base is nearly done but I'm playing around with some palm trees to add some height to an otherwise very open and boring terrain. So, nearly done. Terry1954
I like that a lot. Tell me, is it a trick of the light, or are the wheel centres and lower body in a different shade of sand/yellow? Terry

I thought I'd try a little weathering but with my limited range of pastels, the jury is still out... Stuart
