Sturmovik
Hello guys, this will be my second 1:48 Russian aircraft (the first one was a Yak 1b). The kit has a low part's count, and I trust I can get this one done in little time. I hope the decals are of good quality and don't stick to the model's surface as soon as they're placed. Sturmovik
Hello guys, here's today's progress on the Mig. Fit has been good in some areas, and bad in others, but tomorrow I'll start painting. The main area of trouble was that of the cockpit to fuselage joint. At first the cockpit was seemingly too wide for the cockpit opening, but after some fettling I was able to close the fuselage.
RadMax8
Nice progress! I always thought that the MiG-3 was an interesting plane, ever since IL-2 Sturmovik came out and it was featured in the game. Apparently it was way outclassed by the 109Fs it faced. Nonetheless, a very interesting aircraft. I’d like to add more Soviet planes to my collection! Thanks for sharing your build.
fubar57
Very nice. I and a few others had issues with the wing insert/fuselage fit but it looks like you had no problem

At first they sat too low on the wing, but then I pulled them up to make them fit into the fuselage. I'm telling you, I was expecting a better fit of the parts on this Trumpeter kit. It may be one of their early ones where fit wasn't as precise as it is now on the Hobby Boss kits.
Sturmovik
I've painted the aircraft today. It took it some time to cure due to the humidity lf the environment. Also the propeller has been finished.
