mathy
Hi all, my latest Kit is this Hasegawa F-2A in 1:48. Nice "big F-16" in typical Hasegawa style. Add a Master Pitot, Eduard PE`s, Aires ACES II seat and a Wolfpack nozzle. Decals are by Afterburner (48-064)

jhutchi
Very nice. Is it actually an F16? Is it made under license in Japan?

It has a lengthened fuselage, bigger wing, Japanese avionics, and built by Mitsubishi in Japan. Mathy, outstanding build! Not gunna lie, I thought the first two pics were the real thing! What did you use for the blues? They can be quite tricky to get right, but yours look spot on.

Meatbox8
This isn't model making. This is art. Beautiful The Japan should be commended for being one of the few nations which still has attractive schemes on its combat aircraft.

First I try Gunze H54 and H56 as Hasgawas painting manuel says. But this colours are not the right ones. So I mixed a lot of "new blues" until I got the right ones. But I can not remember the mixture😬

dreamwriter
Great work! Amazing model! Did you use any PE in the cockpit? Apart from the Aires Aces II seat? I´ve been lloking for ages for a cockpit detail ser for the F-2, but Eduard never released one, only for the exterior. Beaver Corp and Platz released a cockpit set mas it´s sold out everywhere.
