RAF Tucanos

Can anybody tell me whether all RAF Tucanos in the gloss black scheme had the yellow flashes on the upper surfaces of the wings and tailplanes? The picture that I have seen suggest that some did and some did not.

From memory the yellow flashes were initially introduced for the solo display team aircraft and spare and gradually became more widespread but from memory and without staying up until the early hours checking through files I do not think that they became universal unless perhaps in the last few years of service as the fleet contracted in size and fewer aircraft were in use.

I think that's right. They certainly were not present on all aircraft for all the time they were in base gloss black. At least the majority of aircraft in actual use latterly seem to have had them, and I don't offhand recall seeing a black one without yellow flashes in 2018 or 2019
