Reini78 Posted March 4, 2020 Share Posted March 4, 2020 #6/2020 Another big beast is done. The new Il-28 from Bobcat Models (former Xuntong) with markings from Hi-Decal. The kit is basically ok. The clear parts could be a bit clearer. Fuselage fit is good, but engine nacelles, nacelles to wings and tailplane parts need some filler. Painted with MRP Saudi Color FS30475, Light Sky Blue FS35526 and Dark Green FS34079. Used Eduard seatbelts for the cockpit, EZ Line and fishing line for the antenna wires. Antti_K Posted March 4, 2020 Share Posted March 4, 2020 Hello Reini! Your Ilyushin looks lovely! I admire the paint work and especially those soft colour demarcation lines; very well done. The Egyptian paint scheme differs greatly from anything else one is used to. My kit has turned out to be a real beast: the part fit has been horrible all the way and the clear parts the worst I've ever seen. But I'm getting there; just came back from the paint shop. Your observations give me hope that there are large variation in quality. I just might consider building another one. This time the bomber version.
