hopkp
Interesting subject, for sure, especially given that Airfix seems to have no interest in going beyond the F.8 version. However, from the sprue shots it looks a bit 'rough and ready' to me and reminds me a lot of the old Classic Airframes kit from years ago. I wonder is it related to/derived from that kit? Still, you'd have to give them 10/10 for originality and I'll probably buy one.....

Trenton guy
I believe that many of the old Classic Airframes kits were by Sword. Could be one of them but CA always included a significant resin content. All the details seem to be on the sprues for this one. My money is an updated CA product, not at all a bad thing. My Meteor world is complete with the Special Hobby kits but this is good news for those with big fingers.

VMA131Marine
This looks really good. It does not appear to share any parts with the Classic Airframes NF.11/13 http://kits.kitreview.com/meteornf1113reviewbg_1.htm
Thomas V.
Its upgraded former CA tooling, or Sword produced CA tooling.
Branky
Well, comparing the sprue's I can see that both are indeed Meteor nightfighters… But even if it is an upgraded tooling it is severely upgraded. If you compare the wings it is completely different. Shall we say it is a new tooling ?

Maybe it's just the very shiny plastic that makes it look 'Classic Airframes-ish'!

These are all the resin bits for the CA kit Here's the wing center section and gear struts. The new kit has a one piece lower wing Here's the fuselage halves set up for the heavy framed canopy Here are the other small bits Edited March 4, 2020 by VMA131Marine

Shorty84
Well, that was unexpected. I was mulling over the need for a new tool Meteor Nightfighter when I got my hands on the Airfix PR.9 a while ago. A must buy for me ...

Truro Model Builder
What wonderful news. Rather like the thought of a nav trainer NF(T).14 in dayglo stripes and high speed silver... Edited March 5, 2020 by Truro Model Builder

Graham T
A REAL surprise to me but a pleasant one! I first thought this had to be a mod of the old CA NF11/13 but it seems not, however it sure resembles a CA kit "on the sprues". Same pattern maker perhaps? In both cases you read my mind, however the length and a few other details will be closely looked at by myself, first port of call on opening the box. SleeperService
For One I'm happy that it isn't the CA kit. Hopefully the engine intakes will be right on this one. If they do follow up with a Gannet AEW.3 in 1/48 I'll be a very happy bunny. And back on good beans and cheap bread @Rabbit Leader
