Johnson Posted March 1, 2020 Posted March 1, 2020 I thought that the Academy P-51B was an excellent kit Patrice, so I hope you enjoy this P-51C. I recommend the Eduard canopy mask (CX052) for this kit, made painting it very easy. Best wishes,

But it proves you can almost achieve a groupbuild on your own 😂 Good morning Alan Thank you for your comment but the Academy kit is a very good and simple kit .... I must still say that the Mustang is one of my favorite aircraft and that I have been waiting for this STGB for a few years , well in fact since 2017 and the end of the Mustang STGB III ... and do I need to say that I am already getting prepared for the Mustang STGB V ... All the best Patrice 2

I'm going to have to hunt down some of that Humbrol Metalcote 27002, it looks really good. Did you spray or brush paint and how did you do the darker panels?
TEMPESTMK5 Posted March 3, 2020 Author Posted March 3, 2020 Good afternoon Charlie Thank you for your comment .. I brushpainted this paint https://www.humbrol.com/uk-en/27002-polished-aluminium-metalcote-14ml-enamel-paint.html but you can find also this https://www.humbrol.com/uk-en/27002-polished-aluminium-metalcote-150ml-acrylic-spray-paint.html although i have never used it.. For the darker panels I simply mixed a few drops of black paint with the aluminum 27002 .. Patrice 1

But I could well be tempted by an Academy P 51 https://www.scalemates.com/kits/academy-12401-p-51-mustang-north-africa--107300 or by a Brengun A 36 https://www.scalemates.com/kits/brengun-brp72025-north-american-a-36-apache--1040337 for the MTO Gb at the end of this year ..
