The Spadgent Posted April 6, 2020 Author Share Posted April 6, 2020 Monday update. 🥰 In between work builds I assembled most of the UC doors. I used blu-tac to hod everything in place while I glued with Rocket thick. Then the BIG bombs. Aand the exhaust flappy bits I made ages ago. Next up we’re the rockets. words to the wise. Drill out the small attachment point holes on the rockets before fitting. Your sanity will thank you for it. 🤯🥵 Also fit the bombs or tanks last. aaaand now the right way up. im loving that!!!! 🤗 I have added a little ratchet bit in the canopy slot out of lead wire so I can fit the opening canopy at any position. The fit is really quite good. The inner bar was fixed in place using Gators grip. A few final things left to go. I have drilled the wing tip lights ready to paint the bulb and Gator on. The three aerials aaaaand this bloody thing. nearly there. I’m already tidying up for...... well the next thing. Take care folks. All the best and as always. Happy Modelling. It tones down the shiny enough to make it look the way it would in the Pacific. Great work Johnny 👍 Thanks. Yes Flory is very good at that. I find I leave it a couple of days before a top coat to eek more grime away till I’m happy. My back succumbed to the rubbish chair and for some unknown reason my left eyelid had swollen up???? A good day of rest was had and now the eye is less swollen and the back less angry.
