ReverendRover
Hello everybody. I'm Matt from the lovely, sunny (ha!) Peak District. I've just gotten interested again in model making after letting the hobby slide as a child. My interests range from modern jets to WWII planes and tanks. I just got my first kit, the 1:48 F15e Strike Eagle from Revell. So far all I've done is pick through the box and read through the instructions a few times, but it seems like it won't be too hard to build. If anyone has any good tips on the paint job though (including whether or not to follow to paint guide in the instructions with Revell paints or alternatives), that would be excellent. Also any pointers on a nice starter kit for a tank that I can tackle in the future would be appreciated! Anyway, looking forward to hopefully pestering some of you experienced fellas with stupid questions and lamenting my inevitable noob mistakes!
dogsbody
Greetings from Western Canada and welcome back to the hobby. Soon you'll be dizzy from the cement fumes and then stick your fingers together with superglue. Chris

Although I think this one is a D from the Reapers Keep meaning to do a Panthers E myself.
ReverendRover
Thanks for the welcome all. Bar side, the only time I caught a real life glimpse of an Eagle, I was lucky enough to see them coming through the Mac Loop, absolutely loved the airframe since then!
bar side
Saw them at the 80s airshows when they came in from Bitburg or Soesterberg and they always looked good. I built a CR tailcode Eagle from an old Monogram kits a couple of years back
