DaveJL
Hello all, Here is my recently completed 1/48 Airfix Hawker Hunter F.MK.6 in the markings of XF526 of 56 SQN in the late 1950s. Built as part of my 'RAF QRA through the years' project, the build thread can be seen here Extras used included Eduard etch, Eduard masks, Quickboost seat, Top Notch camouflage masks and Xtradecal markings. Colours are Mr Paint and I wanted a lightly weathered/faded jet. Quite happy with my first ever Hunter and I have the say the Airfix kit was very nice indeed. The QRA line up so far: Thanks for looking. Dave 42
cngaero
That's a lovely looking Hunter Dave. Such lovely sleek lines and a true thoroughbred. You've done this beautiful aeroplane proud. I really like your collection of other QRA types. That's a lovely looking Hunter Dave. Such lovely sleek lines and a true thoroughbred. You've done this beautiful aeroplane proud. Lord Riot
Brilliant! Beautiful jet extremely well finished, and those lovely red and white 56 markings always look the part on any RAF aircraft.

Devilfish
Lovely job! I've built 2 of the Airfix F.6's and am currently building an F.4 Good job on the restrained weathering, as aircraft of this period were painted gloss, so wouldn't have worn as much as modern matt painted jets do. Uncle Uncool
<---- Current economic situation still makes impossible for importers to bring this kit in the country.

stever219
I’m glad I don’t have to pick a winner from your QRA fleet Dave, they all look excellent. I know you’ve got other projects in the pipeline but when you return to this theme is there any chance whatsoever of you adding a Hurricane to it? Also might I ask where you get your Squadron patches from? They make a great addition to the display and I suspect are collectible in their own right. DaveJL
Thanks chaps. Steve, there is a Hurricane in the pile along with the Javelin, Typhoon and Tornado F.3... may also pop in a Phantom FG1 The patches are from Terrane.co.uk for the most part, though I have had a couple of them in my collection for years, so I’m not overly sure as to where they were from!
