Fantastic! But I'm glad I never had to fly in that thing from Australia to London!

All good, you would have never flown to London on them.

They were initially use to supplement the Catalinas on the Double Sunrise route from Western Australia to Colombo in Ceylon (now Sri Lanka) and then after the war two were used as freighters to carry engines for broken down Constellations around the QANTAS network until they were retired in 1950.

Now that is the kind of build that's right up my street! Lovely results.

Afraid I missed the action, and I was just stooging around the back end of the group builds, and up pops this beauty.!

I've been looking at various "swords into ploughshares" conversions. I found a B17 Bolivian Skytruck transport.

Can I just ask, if you have a minute, why are replacement wings required?

How different are they to the standard kit wings?

Best looking Liberator I've seen for a while 😎

Thanks Rob,

The wings are the same, the engine nacelles are the difference with the LB-30. I think think Magna models decided it was easier to supply the whole wing and new engine nacelles in one piece replacement wings rather than you having to cut chunks out of the wings to fit the new ones. YOu can see the difference in width between the original kit nacelles and the supplied resin ones
