Dave_R
Hi All, This is the second kit from the Eduard "dual combo" FAA Hellcat. It's a good kit and very easy to build. Dave.

Erwin
Hi Dave, I just bought the 48 th Eduard Night Hellcat for this GB. It has FE parts incluided that I won't use. You can have them if wanted. They are not in your pictures.Maybe that kit doesn't have them ? Edited February 16, 2020 by Erwin
Dave_R
Hi Erwin, Thank you for the offer, but the kit does come with PE parts - I just forgot to photo them. Thanks Dave.
Dave_R
Hi All, The cockpit is done. Next onto the main part of the construction which will take about five minutes... ...OK, maybe ten. Dave.

Dave_R
Hi All, It didn't take 10 minutes, but it was quick and easy. It did need a little filler, but not much. Dave.

Dave_R
Hi All, I've done all the filling/sanding and added the canopy and cowling. I'm going to add the nav. lights and maybe the landing gear before priming, hopefully I can do the priming tomorrow. Dave.

Dave_R
Hi All, Ready for priming. ...and primed. Ready for a bit of paint. Dave.
Beazer
As a suggestion to make painting easier, I would suggest to remove and add the exhausts as one of the last things. I know they can be tucked away but its way easier than trying to detail and drybrush when your working with your finished fuselage. Great choice from the myriad of examples. Dave_R
Hi All, With the other GB builds finished I've done a bit more to this one. I think I'm ready to move onto the decals now. Dave.
Dave_R
Hi All, The decals are on - sort of. I don't really know how, but I managed to lose one of the "145" decals and one of the serial number decals. Very annoying. I also found a photo of "145" online and it shows it with only one stencil visible, so that's a bonus. There's a bit more to do and a week and a day to do it in - I must love deadlines. JOCKNEY
Great stuff Dave Check all the bits of decal paper both sides to see if they are hiding in plain sight. Then check the dish you were using incase they have floated off. I have done this myself too many times ! cheers Pat
