Excellent finish, weathering and final look, but one thing catched my eye - USAF marking on lower right wing - is it positioned correctly - top of the star should point to the front of the plane? 🙄

Well, mistakes do happen, it doesn't spoil the positives for the whole model - you've done excellent job with painting and weathering.

Using old decals and with a few of paste and copy ... 😉

I've never been attracted to the F-51D but this has most certainly changed my mind! What did you use to coat the model before applying the decals, before/after the wash? What did you use for the wash on the metallic surface?
