Very good. First time I saw one of those for real was in Clipstone Forest, way back when they had just appeared on the rally scene. There was this almighty howling noise, then this "thing" in Alitalia colours appeared going flat out and vanished just as quick. What the "F" was that! The world soon found out!

A sight & sound that once experienced is hard to forget, especially in the depths of a forest in the wee small hours.

A super model @Andreas.R, thanks for bringing back those memories. :)

Yes, good old night stages. Quiet, sweet smell of pine and then high pitched roars, on and off the throttle, flash of lights and quiet again.

The other, of course, was Scottish Rally day stages; run early June when it always seemed to be warm and dry, the result of which was so much dust that, after the first half dozen, you couldn't read the entrant list in your Motoring News.

Ah, memories!

Giddey to all!

I have scratchbuild these parts ( Exhaust manifold, differential) which are visible when looking from behind below.

The kit has only a box with some rather week details on the surface of this box:

It is the biggest issue of the Hasegawa Lancia Stratos kits!

I am thinking about to make replacement for these parts in 3D printing.

Not the whole engine and gearbox, only the visible parts.

What do you think about? Would you be interested in such a replacement?

Lovely build and a great finish.

excellent work

There's a great Chris Harris (top gear) vid on YouTube in car with markku alen, juha kankkunen and Paolo andrucci driving him in a stratos, delta s4 and 037 for a pirelli promo day in italy

Worth a watch just for the sound

Here is my 3D designed DinoV6 engine, which will be attached to the model.

Here are the pic`s of the painted and attached 3D printed parts.

I have printed them with my old phrozen 4K printer, which did not print very well.

It was very difficult to fit these parts into the already built model.

The 3D print had to be adapted to the model, and some parts of the rear frame were damaged during installation.

When the upper part of the body is put on, only sections of the engine will be visible.

But I think it doesn't look bad after all!
