Marklo
Saw these two in my local model shop and couldn't resist the sheer nostalgia (don't worry about the Yak) a d seeing as I'm away from home an oob build with a basic toolkit was just about feasible and give me something to amuse myself after hours. Chassis assembled. Wheels done Some assembly That's the tractor done, I'll weather it when I get home. Now on to the 88mm. Marklo
I’ve built this one so many times as a boy and (flash notwithstanding) it’s still a very satisfying build, I am looking forward to the Churchill, for a 1:76 build it’s huge. Worms
I can't help thinking that the stormtroopers, clutching their Mausers were the inspiration for the Star Wars stormtroopers! 🤣 I don't have the bridge layer but it's on my list, my Grandfather was in the RE in Europe after D Day which inspires me! Marklo
88mm subassemblies. Assembled. The finished article, I bored out the muzzle of the 88 and added some glazing to the windscreen as well as painting the canvas in a slightly different shade. I'll weather the whole thing another time. Edited February 13, 2020 by Marklo
Marklo
some subtle (I hope) weathering. Bought a T34 and a DUKW as well as digging out an airfix tiger so will keep this thread rolling. Edited February 17, 2020 by Marklo

Marklo
The bridge layer is complete, just needs weatherig. T34 next, this took about 10 minutes to build, still I wanted one for my collection, some filling and touch up still required and if course weathering, the DUKW next
Marklo
[ The DUKW progresses. And nearly done. The T 34 gets a touch up and some decals. And the same on the Churchill. Weathering on all of the above and then to build the Tiger, I think I need to do the Panther too then I have to admit I'm done. Enjoyable builds but way too simple to keep me amused long term.
Marklo
I am leary of these kind of products but on a whim decided to give them a go. First up the bridge layer. Not sure if the photo captures it but the finished result looks pretty good. The T34 next, no rust as I reckon the average T34 wouldn't have been in the field long enough. Again looks pretty good. Finally the DUKW. I also mudded up this one, using my own mix of paint and dissolved paper. All in all I'm very pleased with the result s of the AK weathering set. Tiger and panther next.
