Twobad
Not sure where to put this really, but 'Aircraft' seemed the best fit. This is a build of Hasegawa's venerable 1:8 scale white metal kit. I've heavily modified it during the build with a lot of scratch built components. In fact only the main white metal castings made it into the final model, plus a few sundry components like spark plugs. It was a very enjoyable build, but significant effort is required to get something acceptable. The white metal castings aren't as sharp as their plastic equivalents in the injection moulded version. Replacing all the moulded bolts with tin plated aftermarket versions is a considerable cost in its own right. Still, worth the effort in the end. I hope you enjoyed the pics. 20
