Hi - I am building the same kit, well the T5. I'll keep an eye on this build and put up a photo of mine when finished. It's a bit of a challenging kit but a rewarding subject. I have the T4 and F. 1/2 by Sword to build as well. Good luck, stay safe. Kind regards, Justin

Hi everybody, and thanks Silvano @phantom61 and Justin @Justin M for joining :thumbsup: ;

sorry for the lack of updates, but ever since the outburst of this virus, my mojo hasn't been at the top. Then I got sick myself (very mildly and not tested, so I'm not sure if it was that) and part of my family, and the full recovery took a while. Now I'm also back to work, since my company is one of kinds allowed to keep working in this period. Still, I promise there will be some update very soon so ... stay tuned, and stay safe! :D

Glad to hear you are better Giorgio. I think I may have had the virus also, as I had a temperature (several times a day each day) for almost 3 weeks and have been left with a mild chest irritation. Not tested also, so who knows.

Looking forward to an update on the Lightning!

Best regards

Terry

Your build is coming along nicely. Really like the instrument panel. I barely do that well in 1/48 scale.

Hello Giorgio

Glad that you're back !! I was worrying about...

I also work on a required society, so no lockdown for CC

Now, I think that I do not get it ... But...

SWMBO is working in a retirement home and the director was completely careless...

Here's the result, Sylvia has been tested today, we will have the results tomorrow.

And 7 elderlies infected, 1 dead already...

So, it's a bit frightening at CC castle today...

Finger crossed,

Take care you all.

Sincerely.

CC

Hope everyone is safe and well, and Giemme hope you ok at work and the family is all recovered.

i had two weeks quarantined as the kids had a temp and got back to work last week, only to be told I’m one of the managers being furloughed for 8 weeks. Not sure I’ll cope well with that but hopefully aircraft production will go up!

hope you get a chance to be at the bench soon.

That sounds worrying to me, best act as though you haven't had it, though I don't know if there is a test to indicate whether or not you have had it. Good to see you back in the saddle anyway.

Hi, Giorgio.

Glad that you're doing well.
When we had a phone call middle march, I felt you weren't in your usual spirit, so I suspected... but the Corona was away from you.
Well, now it's over, but take the maximum care of you so that your temporary weakness doesn't compromise things.

Thank you   Credits for the IP go mostly to Sword, although I had to do a few mods to adapt it for a T4

Thanks Steve   I'm acting as if I both had it and not had it, that is with extreme precaution not to infect others (my quarantine since the fever went away ended last Thursday) and not to get infected

Thanks Euge, I was more concerned and anxious back then, rather than sick. Now I'm really fine, just hoping this thing ends soon

Thanks Massimo, let's hope so!

Here's an update, eventually :yahoo:

Plastic shim inserted in the front part of the fuselage - gluing needed some persuasion ...

fuselage10

Front side sorted and rescribed

fuselage11

fuselage12

a dryfit of the windshield shows that there's gonna be some fairing in

fuselage13

fuselage14

Some job for good old PPP, I think.

Some more rescribing done on the fuselage sides, where I had to shorten the ducts, done with my usual tools: Tamiya tape for curves, my INCIDO and a Trumpeter scriber

fuselage15

After running some TET along the rescribed lines with a fine brush and a black tempera wash

fuselage16

fuselage17

Time for the bottom seam: front part almost completed

fuselage18

The rest shows quite some work to do

fuselage19

fuselage20

Last but not least, the tail light needed to be filled with ca+flour and now needs careful reshaping

fuselage21

I've actually already started the sanding, but stopped for a pause and to post this progress report - will get back to this when the mojo rises again :)

Meanwhile, all comments welcome

You will Johnny, but I need to confess

Me confess? Surely not...

Oh yes I have used it but still tend to 'add talc to taste' although flour is more work friendly

Great Start Giorgio !!

Back on the saddle and ready for more IIIIyyaaaahhh !!

You know that deep south dixie shouting.

I thank you all Dear Friends !

So the news are mitigated...

She got it, that's the bad new...

But she has no viral load....

Seemingly, this S... has a so called Silent form...

She has the disease almost all the Symptoms but no virus detected

Seemingly, she is not contagious, that's the good part of this sad new.

She will be tested again in 2 days to check the evolution.

So, we are more carefull than ever, because I suffer from Asthma...

If I got it, I will pay it cash and suffer a lot...

Now, respiratory issues is something I live with for 57 years...

But I'm not eager to add an outrage to the existing insult to my poor lungs..:rofl2:

I hope that we will get rid of this virus soon !!

So take care Gents !!

Sincerely.

CC
