Well considering the Haseagwa P-3 kit sells for around $50 these days and if you can find an Electra conversion (which sold for around $30 around 10-15 years ago) that is what you would have to spend. His YS-11 and HS-748 kits went for around the $60 US mark a couple of years ago, A bit more material and print time in the Electra.

True enough, but the Hasegawa P-3 as I recall was a damn good model - so far we have an expensive quote which hasn't seen the light of day. The model that is, not the quote (humour)

About those Electra conversions that they had in the past and the one from Contrails in the USA (which is still available) I can tell you they are all pretty crappy and don’t get the correct window sizes and angles...

The last one i bought was the contrail one boy did he messed up those windows on the cockpit! The two on the side are in one angle and it should be two..the front one is tapered and it shouldn’t..If they had better pictures on their webpage I would have noticed it and skipped it 😂

So all in all my not build electra from that conversion and not used Orion cost me more than this new one 😉

I allready can tell you that this model has the correct dimensions and I like what I see so this is a no brainer for and it comes with a full interior as well!!

Anyway if I am correct this price will be with free world wide shipping!! At least the all the models he sells on e-bay are offered as such ( HS748 for just 68 dollars posted).

The HS 748 produced by one man has convinced me that the man knows what he is doing and I almost should wish that more producers of kits had someone like him designing kits...

Bit this all reflects my own opinion😜

cheers, Jan

What cement is needed?  Two part epoxy or normal Tamiya Extra Thin.  I don't know what ABS material is.

I've been using superglue, no issues at all. The kit fits together seamlessly, so just a few blobs before sliding it together on the locating rods.

EP-3E would worth to consider but not soon.

First, I will release L-188A, 2nd, P-3C.

I cannot afford to select future conversion now.

Wouldn't mind the L188 airliner. One of the most accident prone in civil aviation history.

They had some teething problems with the engine mounts and props when they entered service ..

Also the airline industry had to become familiar with these aircraft as they were very different in their flying caracteristics ..most accidents happened because of lack of experience with flying these aircraft!

And after these engine mounting problems being solved it proved to be a very reliable and rugged workhorse that could handle a beating and they are still fighting fires and they still do haul freight although the number is dwindling..

Also the Orion still is a very popular plane though being phased out in the US Navy.

1/72 & 1/48 & 1/32  L-188A Electra

I'm modelling undercarriage and cockpit now!!

Landing gear oleos are just tentative shape!! I will correct the length and add mold later.

Then, I will make rampway on forward passenger door and outside antenna.

90 USD for 72 scale ?

I'm out.

Some context here, 1/72 Welsh Models Electra is over £100, so $90 is not too bad considering it has an interior. I have the WM kit and it is sizeable in that scale and has no interior.

I'm not sure where you are going with this one, where else are you going to get one cheaper, I ask? A 1/72 Electra for $90 with full interior, is stonking good value.

BtW I'm not dissing the Welsh kit it is very good indeed - I have a couple and one will be made in the TAA Hi VIz/dayglo livery of the early '60s.

90 USD for a model of that size are too much (for me) at all.

By the way that 90 dollar is with shipping worldwide which is together with this kit a very good value for money😀
And the kit is going to be very correct knowing One Man models..

Everybody is entitled to have an opinion in what he finds to expensive or not but when you see the pricing for 1/144 eastern express kits or even other models it seems that between 50 and 100 dollar kits dominate the market in my opinion..

And if you find something to expensive just don’t buy it ....there are several kits that I do like and don’t buy simply because I don’t like the price😉

My kit series are made of 3D printed ABS. Not resin.

That makes the kit all that much more exciting to me. Thanks!
