salomon
Nice project lit but I have some doubt about the PLA process rendering, we can notice a couple layer level on the pieces, so a lot and a lot of sanding work to build a perfect kit.

NavyWessex
Very tempted but the amount of sanding puts me off a little, can a smooth surface actually be acheived?

There are products designed just for this application; here is one such: https://www.reynoldsam.com/product/xtc-3d/ Using something like this as well as Mr. Dissolved Putty and/or Mr. Surfacer should do the trick, I would think. I have the 1/72 Electra and this will be my approach. 2
salomon
I used the primer for that but the problem is, many details are covered after sanding. Why don't they use the resine just like the Saab Viggen from Jetmads with the smooth surfaces.

Those smooth resin surfaces require a completely different kind of printer.
