Itale-fix 1/48 BAe Hawk T.1a RAF Red Arrows 50 Display Seasons Scheme

Recommended Posts

First finished work in Rat Year, during past several weeks at home because of the coronusvirus which prohibited going out and extension of Lunar New Year holidays in China.

In Chinese culture, red means celebration so I hope the special moment could be settled down ASAP.

Kit:

Airifx: front fuselage+windshield+canopy, Italeri: other parts.

Aftermarket:

Master 1/48 metal pitot tube

Reedoak 3D scan 1/48 camera man

Quite possibly the best Red Arrows Hawk I've seen - superb!

I wholeheartedly agree with what petetasker said. Truly awesome.

Beautiful Red Arrow haneto - one of the best I've seen too. Good fix for the Italeri nose shape. Beautifully presented too. Hope that you can get back to normal soon.

Cheers

Wonderful work on so many levels. That Airfix nose looks to fit like a dream and that finish with gloss red. Absolutely wonderful!

Stay healthy haneto!

Wow!   The in-progress pictures are very instructive and the side-by-side images comparing the parts neatly illustrates the shape differences between the 2 kits.  The work to splice the parts is very clean.

Equally commendable is the finish.  Glossy schemes can be deceptively difficult to pull off.

Beautiful result!
