stever219 Posted February 6, 2020 Share Posted February 6, 2020 It’s nice to see an unusual colour scheme on a post-war Beaufighter and one that’s not been “weathered” to within an inch of its life. One very minor point is your collector rings; on the real aeroplane the colour varies across the chord of the ring, slightly discoloured steel at the front, darker bluish/blackish/brownish metal, fading to a lighter shade at the back. dogsbody Posted February 6, 2020 Share Posted February 6, 2020 Though this is a modern flying restoration, it does give you a good look at the heat staining of a Bristol exhaust collector ring.
