After the failure of airbrushing this...

I'm going to have a go at this...

It only cost £3, but already I care too much about it to sacrifice it to The God of **** Painting!

Will spray the Invasion Stripes too as the decals are massive and very, very old. I found some bonus vehicles too in the stash!

Invasion stripes and grey done. Masked ready for the green.

Will have to wait until tomorrow though as my wiggly worm Blu-Tac has disappeared, but coincidentally my daughter has put a load of posters up.

Here we go...

Tah-Da!

To say that I'm ridiculously pleased with myself would be an understatement!

There is a bit of touching up to do, but compared to the last effort it is minimal. The difference was that I used much less thinner in the paint so it went on almost dry, and that I tried Blu-Tac worms to get a soft edge.

The engines are only tacked on, so I'll pop them off and detail them.

That looks pretty good to me.

I too am new to airbrushing and found these pretty useful as guides.

Airbrushing and Finishing Scale Models (Modelling Masterclass) by Brett Green

and particularly this

Airbrushing Scale Model Aircraft by Robin Carpenter

both bought on for my kindle (haven’t done paper books in many years)
