He177 for instance ... ciao I have an Irish Air Corps decal sheet with markings for the SF.260W Warrior (intended for the Planet Models resin kit). Assuming this is a new injection-moulded tool, and knowing Special Hobby, there ought to be a follow-on kit of the Warrior version. If it's the Planet Models kit, the wait will continue, at least for me.

Homebee
Confirmed new tool injected plastic kit. https://www.specialhobby.net/2020/08/obr-strizlik-aneb-pripravujeme-westland.html Quote (...) At the same time, we mill small parts for the SIAI-MArchetti SF-260 1/72 model. In this case, it is a wren, the model is really cute. (...) For the SF-260, the photos show the milled end tanks of the wing. V.P. Edited August 21, 2020 by Homebee
Mountain goat
Great news. Although I can't even imagine how small this kit is. Perhaps SH will bring us two kits in one box? A couple of questions for those in the know: was 70º Stormo the only unit to have flown the SF260 in AMI service? Was the SF260A's squadron identification number (70-01 etc) coupled with the same Matricola Militare throughout their lives? I fancy building a couple of orange ones. Was the SF260A's squadron identification number (70-01 etc) coupled with the same Matricola Militare throughout their lives? I fancy building a couple of orange ones. Jay Answer to the first question: yes and no... yes because the SF260s were always used by the same unit, no because the unit changed name at some point... The 260 entered AMI service in 1976 and all aircraft were assigned to the then SVBAE (Scuola Volo Basico Avanzato a Elica, approximately meaning propeller basic-advanced flying school). These aircraft carried the codes SP-xx of the school and were painted in the famous overall orange. The school was renamed 70° Stormo in 1985 and all aircraft started carrying the 70-xx codes that they are still carrying today. The unit badge remained the same but the titles in the badge changed to reflect the new name. The colour remained for many years overall orange and was later replaced by an overall grey with orange bands. Later the aircraft received black areas. Keep in mind that the original variant was the 260AM. These were replaced in 2006 by the 260EA with differences in the cabin. Answer to the second question: no, different aircraft have carried the same codes at different times so unfortunately both code and Matricola Militare must be researched to depict a certain aircraft in a certain timeframe. This applies to all aircraft in Italian air force service. 1

SharkOwl
Cool. A super nice subject ! But ..... Is 1/72 scale (986 mm x 1159 mm) the right scale for a SF-260 kit ? Or Is 1/48 scale (1479 mm x 1739 mm) the right scale for a SF-260 kit ? Please Please ''Kovo'' and ''SH'' ! We also need a SF-260 familiy of kits at 1/48 scale.
