I think they do battery replacement at reasonable cost? It is a sort of breakdown after all. Yes, 'Home Start' is part of the cover, and I'm currently waiting for them to get back to me with an ETA - very busy round here today, apparently... ....seems they carry dedicated battery test gear, so will see what that says - if it fails, not sure if they can/will replace it (they'd have to get one first)... ....the dealer's 21.1 miles away (accordingly to Google) - but looking at my account blurb, there is no longer a 10-mile limit, so that should be OK... BTW, Fnarr too much reference to bottoms on the preceding page! Edited February 27, 2020 by andyf117
CedB
Thanks Giorgio Andy I hope you get the car sorted (and well done for spotting the Fnarrs!) A test fit of the controls: The collectives could maybe do with another sand. Maybe. Note the 'buttons' on those - I, like hendie, am also becoming a fan of MDP (Mr Dissolved Putty). Time to fit the boxes and give the whole thing a base coat of VMA NATO black: Untitled by Ced Bufton, on Flickr Everything else will be brush painted as it goes in.
perdu
Looks good Ced, remind me who endorsed MDP recently Don't forget that a light dry brushing with Clear will alter the look of various black panels without drastic repainting Texture change makes a big difference too

'The Hive' discovered that you could buy 'MT Washi tape' that comes from the same factory that makes the Tamiya stuff. Much cheaper. Have a search. I haven't found any sheets (yet) so I use Tamiya for that, just to be sure. Internals have had their first 'overcoat': Heather's H32 (I'm obsessed) for the seats, mixed with H33 for the panels. Little box on the top (what do you mean 'Where?') glossy black. I've also painted the columns and brake levers (not shown) ready for when the main bit is finished. The 'other' round nosed pliers have arrived too: Not perfect but useable and under £7. Ready for the next tiny thing bending (with Ian's idea on using punches).

Ex-FAAWAFU
You’ve got to love BM; the only place I know that can move seamlessly from a 1950s teeny-weeny helicopter to translating Cockney rhyming slang for baffled Italians
Biggles87
I’ve forgotten whose thread this is now! Just caught up with the last three pages, we’ve had serious problems with our interweb thingy over the last 10 days ( still not properly fixed ) since we tried to subscribe to an internet/telephone deal. I’m a bit of a Luddite where IT is concerned but trying to discuss technical problems in french! My head hurts. John
